ICTRecht, your legal specialist in IT law

ICTRecht legal services specializes in Internet and IT law and intellectual property. Because Internet technology and IT develop so rapidly – from e-mail to Twitter and from web page to interactive Flash application – legal advice in these areas requires a solid knowledge of both law and technology. This is where ICTRecht provides its added value.

ICTRecht provides concrete and practical legal advice against favorable prices. Its associates Steven Ras and Arnoud Engelfriet, as well as their employees, have unique specialized knowledge and long-term experience in areas such as IT, Internet, telecommunication, privacy, software licenses, contracts, general conditions of sale and intellectual property. With both technical and legal backgrounds they can provide the best advice for your situation.

Pricing

ICTRecht prides itself on its favorable pricing. For legal documents, such as license agreements or IT contracts ICTRecht generally offers fixed fees. This avoids nasty surprises when the project is complete. If you are looking for legal advice on a regular basis, ICTRecht offers serveral subscription-based models where a fixed monthly fee allows for unlimited legal advice and consultations via e-mail.

ICTRecht’s mission and vision

We strive to be the legal services firm in the Netherlands when it comes to IT, Internet and law. We are a small, flexible and creative firm. We pride ourselves on our favorable pricing and unconventional way of working. We have significant experience in Dutch, European and US technology and contract law.

ICTRecht is not a law firm in the traditional sense. We do not initiate or defend lawsuits but focus on our speciality: legal advice about Internet and IT law. We do work with several Dutch attorneys and law firms that can represent you in a court of law.

History of ICTRecht

Our firm was founded in 2004 by IT lawyer Steven Ras (Linkedin). The original focus of legal advice for Internet hosting firms and e-commerce companies (webshops) quickly grew to include IT-contracts and resolving liability issues. In 2008, IT lawyer and patent attorney Arnoud Engelfriet (Linkedin) joined the firm. Arnoud brought almost ten years of patent and IT law experience from Royal Philips Electronics.
